This painting and several other flowers painted by me are favorites of Mother's that graced our home with their blooms and were cultivated in our extensive family gardens. I painted Cinderella Amaryllis using Windsor Newton professional grade watercolor pigments and Kolinsky sable brushes on acid-free D'Arches cold pressed #300 paper. Although not sold the original is currently unavailable because I'm retouching it. Expect it soon. Custom prints are available.
With it's striking colors and clean design elements, may I suggest choosing a larger size for your print, perhaps in a more contemporary finish (i.e., wrapped canvas with a mirror or white edge, a satin or mid-gloss metal, or an acrylic. After you make your selection, try the piece on the below Wall Preview or on Live Preview Augmented Reality by using your phone camera or other digital device project it on the wall where it will hang.
For my family, an Amaryllis has always been a special gift around the winter holidays. In fact, I bought Mom a Hippeastrum 'Cinderella'cultivar in a beautiful Cardinal and Holly cache pot as a present for her birthday on December 16, 2006; however, she suffered a brain aneurysm on December 12 and was hospitalized for the next three months. Since 2012, Mom has been in a Memory Care Unit at the Royal of Fairhaven Nursing Center in Fairhaven, MA.
